Kampala to select best DJ

City revellers will on Sunday vote Kampala’s best disc spinner during the regional annual Pearl of Africa DJ awards at KK Beach, Ggaba. Gates will open at 11am. Only the first 20 DJs to register will be eligible to compete in the coveted crown. “Registration for the competition is on a first–come-first-serve basis,” said DJ Tony, the awards organiser. Entrance is Shs5,000 for adults while children will pay Shs2,000.

“Security is guaranteed. We’re here to promote quality deejaying in the country,” he said. The next regional do will be in Mbale next month and finally in Mbarara, come end of October.
